I Like It But It Arrived Scratched
My old hair dryer from a certain beauty supply store bit the dust one day before the year warranty expired. Because the hair dryer gave me an electric shock I decided not to mess around and just buy a new one. I'd been all over Folica before but never noticed the Crush by One hair dryer until now. The other reviewer seemed to like it and people who reviewed it in their blogs seemed to like it too so I decided to get it. It seems to be an "entry level" hair dryer from One Styling which has other models which cost twice as much. I found a coupon code for 20% off so I saved around $16 but then, because I'm in Canada I had to pay taxes & duties of around $20.
Hair Dryer Use and Performance
-lightweight and didn't make my arms sore from holding it up
-I didn't find that the buttons got in the way (didn't turn it off accidentally)
-strong airflow even on low speed
-built in ground device on the end of the cord so that I won't get shocked again X)
-pretty compact and feels solidly built
-fairly quiet on low speed
-very hot on highest heat setting
-very long cord
-concentrator snaps on and stays on, also swivels
-the design is nice, feels good in the hand
-decent "middle of the road" price (not too cheap and not too expensive)
-cold shot button is easy to press and hold
-medium heat setting is not really hot enough
-kinda loud on high speed
-no rubber "nubs" on the sides to keep it from sliding off your bathroom counter
-ground device on cord makes it difficult to plug into outlets in cramped areas
-no diffuser (not a con for me since I never use one but others might want one)
-the lowest heat setting and the cold shot button produce the same temperature so there isn't really a need for both
Results on My Hair:
I've only used it a couple of times but it really seems to dry hair quickly and with minimal damage. My hair comes out shiny soft and silky. Because I have natural wave, I have to use a flat iron once its dry but after using the Crush hair dryer even that process seems to go more quickly and with less damage. It does seem to create a fair bit of static but that could be made worse by the lack of humidity indoors during Canadian winters.
Overall Shopping Experience:
The shipping was lightening fast which I appreciate, however, beware of the duty and taxes! I'm glad I had the 20% off because with the hair dryer, shipping and duty it was over $100. Also, my hair dryer arrived scuffed in a few spots and has a smudge of what seems to be glue on the barrel which I am NOT impressed with. If I'm going to spend that much money on something, I expect it to be in perfect condition when it arrives.
I like the hair dryer and the results I get on my hair. I hope it lasts longer than a year! However, because of the above reasons, I'm not sure I would order from Folica again.

Everything You Need In A Hair Dryer
I absolutely love this hair dryer. It dried my hair exceptionally fast, and left it feeling smooth, silky, and straight for hair that is normally wavy. It's surprisingly quieter than any other hair dryer I've used, including my old T3. In comparison to the T3, the Crush blow dryer gave a smoother, frizz-free result. I also found that the Crush blow dryer left my hair feeling less straw-like, and a lot softer. On a side note, I found this blow dryer to be quite light, which is an added plus.
I know it's a risk purchasing a new product on the market with very few reviews. I searched high and low for reviews, but it was difficult to find. At the end of the day, I decided to go ahead and try it out, and I was happily surprised!
This hair dryer is absolutely worth the investment! I highly recommend it to others.
