Be Careful!
Please be very careful using this flat iron! I bought this iron because my hairdresser recommended it. She even used it on my hair in the salon and I fell in love with it! When I got it home, I used it to straighten my hair. Unfortunately, I set it to 450 degrees and it burned my hair HORRIBLY. I straightened my hair last December 2010, and it's September 2011 and my hair is still dry, burnt, and extremely damaged. My hair used to be curly/wavy and after burning it with the Coppola Keratin Complex flat iron, my hair is stick straight and basically lifeless. My hairdresser commented on my hair the last time I went in for a cut and she was shocked at how horrible my hair looked. I told her about the flat iron that she recommended and she basically reprimanded me for using it at 450 degrees. My advice to anyone who uses this flat iron is to remember that it is PROFESSIONAL quality. Do not think that you have to put it up to a high temp just to get good results. You'll damage your hair. Keep it at about 350 degrees. It's a great flat iron, don't get me wrong. But it's pretty "dangerous" if you use it incorrectly like I did. I don't know if my hair will ever recover, considering the fact that it's been almost a year and my tresses are still extremely damaged and stick-straight (I WANT MY CURLS BACK!). We'll just have to see...
