Heavenly Scent - But Not All That Nourishing
When I try a new hair treatment, especially specialty products like the Amika oBLiPHiCa oiL Nourishing Mask, I compare it against a certain baseline. Several years ago, I discovered a very effective treatment which costs about one-forth of this one, commonly recognized for its purple bottle (about which I'll say no more). So, when I try a new one, it needs to work WELL to earn my recommendation.
Although I gave this hair treatment three tries as part of my VIP Review, I was very disappointed with the results. This is, essentially, a simple level conditioner which has no greater effect on my hair than standard $3 brands. Mind you, it smells absolutely amazing, but by the time my hair dried, it felt like I'd barely used anything on my hair, at all. I would recommend this if you have fine or thin hair, but for average to thick hair, I don't feel you've enjoy much of a result. On the other hand, if you're just looking for a scrumptiously scented product which will provide basic conditioning basics, this would be a good choice.
