Nioxin System 2 Scalp Treatment for Fine Hair with SPF 15

Only thing besides monoxodil that has ever worked for me. And this works better. I now don't use anything else other than Redken extreme shampoo and extreme anti-snap treatment along with the Nioxin. I've been losing hair since my 30's (now almost 50) and the nioxin has helped the hair be thicker, hair loss has diminished and the actual hair growth in my particularly sparse areas is evident. Very happy!

I have tried a lot of lengthen and strengthen hair products and have spent a lot of money on hair regrowth products. None have given the results that Nioxin has given. I noticed after a week of following the directions and using the entire system there was less hair in the comb and my hair density has increased. For a woman who has lost quite a bit of hair during menopause (the DHT factor)that is an accomplishment. It not a quick fix, but you can have a healthy scalp which is essential to healthy hair growth. I am so thankful for Nioxin. It is really worth the price when you can have positive results.

Yes, it does tend to make your hair fell a bit stiff, the stuff acts kind of like moose or gel, if you just let it dry without combing it through, especially since its applied right after a shower, then it will stiffen your hair up, particularly if you have longer hair. For me, I enjoy this side effect because I refuse to use any moose/gel products and the Nioxin allows me to style my hair a little bit and give it substance. But the results are unquestionable...to me this is a very, very small price to pay for undeniably stronger hair. More than one stylist has noticed (I only have one right now). The amount of hair that has fallen in the shower has decreased like 80%. It is on the expensive side, but at least I know I have a top notch product. This does not grow hair back, unless youre young and early in the thinning process, you may see very slight growth I heard. But for me, it basically strengthened the hair I did have, gave it a thicker look, and completely stopped the thinning process. For growth, I actually use Rogaine extra strength in conjunction with Nioxin, and it has worked great. Note, however, Rogaine only works for people balding in the crown (top) of the head and have hereditary hair loss. I also use the Nioxin shampoo and conditioner which is highly recommended.

Ive used both the Nioxin 1 and the Nioxin 2 leave-in scalp treatments. The Nioxin 2 makes your hair stiff and crunchy. It doesnt allow your hair to move and you cant run a brush or your hands through your hair once it has dried. Since it is so stiff, Im afraid to touch it because itll break off -- and this is a product that is supposed to stop hair loss and breakage. I used it only a few times, and reordered Nioxin 1, which doesnt leave your hair unmanageable.
