Aveda Hang Straight Lotion

I really wanted to like this product. Aveda is a great company but this product is just like any regular smoothing balm but with a horrific smell. Sorry Aveda, this one is a miss.

I've been using this product for about a month and love it! I have unruly coarse hair that I could never straighten by blow-drying alone until I used this lotion. Gone from my cabinet are all the straightening and frizz-reducing serums, sprays and creams. This is all I need now.

If your hair feels sticky or heavy, then you're using too much product! Depending on length and thickness, you can put about a nickle-sized portion of product in your hand, rub through damp hair, then style as usual. I have naturally wavy hair that tends to frizz in humidity. Hang Straight is the only product I have used that will keep my hair looking smooth and well-groomed all day. I LOVE this hair product! Aveda's new Glossing & Straightening product doesn't even come close on my hair. Of course, you have to use what works for you, but Hang Straight is the best finishing product I have ever used.

I go to an Aveda salon, and this stuff costs $30 there!! I used it on my kinda in between wavy and straight hair and blow dried it, and my hair was really straight. It helps with humidity a lot too, and I dont think it was any stickier than any other styling cream. Also, I think it smells nice. Not fake or phony, it smells really natural and organic.

Not for me. It left my hair feeling heavy and sticky. And its stinky.
